Project GIAff4ID has made significant progress after an analysis of the situation was made in 6 countries – Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece and Belgium.

The present European Report on Sexual Education and Affectivity for Young People with Intellectual Disabilities offers a comprehensive and insightful analysis of the state of sexual education programs/curricula across several European countries (BG-IT-SP-BE-EL-TR).

It does not only sheds light on the current state of sexual education for YPWID in Europe but also serves as a call to action. It emphasizes the need for continued efforts to break down barriers, challenge societal taboos, and provide inclusivity. This work is vital to ensuring that all young people, regardless of their intellectual abilities, have the opportunity to lead fulfilling, healthy, and informed lives, capable of making decisions about their bodies and relationships confidently and responsibly.
